1.Use your offices as a team building venue.
Cheapest venue of all is yours – your offices, estate property etc are all great (free) locations for your team building event. You can bring your own catering and keep an eye on the business whilst you’re at it. Holding a team building event at your place of work can allow you to be innovative with the running times; why not run an hour of team games in the morning and then another couple of hours in the afternoon to really interface with your working day?
2.Combine your team building event with a team meeting.
Many clients look to stage stand-alone team building events, “we don’t want a meeting we just want a full day of team building” – this is more expensive and will challenge your team event budget if it’s tight. Venues and Hotels will charge you a day delegate rate for your meeting and are quite happy to allow you to use their grounds in the afternoon within this cost. Combining a morning meeting with an afternoon team build allows you to access other budgets within your business and in effect sneakily reallocate them towards creating a team building event with more wow factor.
3.Use Community Buildings and Sports Clubs.
Hotels and conference centres can be expensive places to hold team building events. Many clients are keen to hold their team building event at luxury venues in order to excite their staff but when budgets are tight the costs of hiring them can eat up most of the cash leaving an unrealistic amount to actually stage the team building activity. If on a budget we always recommend sports clubs and community centres to our clients. Village halls, arts centres and cricket & rugby clubs can provide inexpensive private locations for your team building event leaving plenty of budget to provide lots of juicy team activities.
Whatever your budget we’d love to hear from you. We pride ourselves on offering a solution for most budgets so why not give us a call for a no pressure, no obligation proposal to really hit the mark.
